Definitely one of the best comics of the year.

Van Sciver is really establishing himself as the voice of a generation with his recent work. This comic pokes fun at the old American trope of the tortured white male genius unappreciated by the philistine masses, but at the same time the reader begins to feel for the protagonist in all his ridiculousness. The story is like A Confederacy of Dunces, but funnier, better, and with amazing drawings. Someone give Noah Van Sciver a Pulitzer already! Can't wait for the next installment, and I would give more than five stars if I could.

Stop what you're doing READ THIS BOOKOk pick this book by chance. It was totally worth the time I spent reading it. Totally captivating. I could not but it down. I was 100% invested from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from this author. I have already recommended this book to a friend and I will be recommending it to all of them. SEXY THRILLER, A MUST READOMG, let me start off there is no cliffhanger, it's a thriller, but with a super sexy hunk, Duncan,whose past is tragic, and Zoe who comes into his life as a caretaker to his ailing father, but she has her own secrets. TRUST ME, THIS IS A MUST READ, I've never read a book in one day,but I JUST COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN.

A Super Sexy Suspenseful Thriller!

A Super Thriller with a lot of twists and turns. And some pretty HOT sex scenes.
I loved how Zoe and Duncan met at the Hospital where Duncan's father was being treated for a stroke.
Zoe was working at the hospital and giving extra care to Duncan's father.
Duncan decided to move his father back to his home if Zoe would move into the estate and take care of him.

She agreed and her and her son , Kyle moved onto the estate.
Zoe has a lot of secrets that are gradually revealed.
Duncan does also.
There is a Swinger's Club involved (that disappointed me a little) but got used to it as it helped to develop their relationship.
Won't go into the full plot, you can read the synopsis on the Amazon site.
This book has a really good plot . And lots of likeable characters. Some books are spoiled by nothing but sex scenes and no plot BUT this book
has a super plot and hopefully there will be a another to continue Zoe and Duncan's life.

Voyeur by M. K. McDonald is a fast-paced, sexy, thrilling read. Zoey Miller mets Duncan Kincaid in less than desirable circumstances, but that doesn't stop him from hiring her to care for his father. Wanting to learn more about her new boss, Zoe follows Duncan to a sex club. That's where their attraction begins. When she moves into Duncan's estate to begin caring for his father, there attraction intensifies. But the secrets they each keep threaten to destroy their chance at a future.

I really enjoyed this book. This is the type of book that really leaves you wanting more. With some of secrets revealed a little at a time, it leaves you wondering what would happen next. I really did not want to put this book down. It is left with a little cliffhanger, so I really hope there will be another book.

Great erotic story

I found it a very erotic story not so much a thriller but more suspense. Since the end is not so much closed I hope there will be a next book. I would love to read more from this author.

You will get to know Zoe who's working as a nurse doing the night shift in a hospital when she meets the rich and handsome Duncan Kincaid. But the meeting begins curiously when Duncan in the room just when the nurse is holding his father’s penis in her hand.

I know what you're thinking right now so hold your horses she was just cleaning his father because the other nurses don't take time to do it.

Duncan quickly discovers that she only cares about her patients and since he found out how this hospital works he gets her fired but not before he hires her to come at his estate to take care of his father.

She accepts his offer but there's one big secret her son and children are not allowed on the estate. But Duncan has also his own secret.

Still Zoe is intrigged by her new employer and follows him to a club to find out that this is a highly private Swinger's club, but who will recognize her with the mask on. She only want's to see what Duncan will do.

Will the both explorer their chemistry to each other or will they both stay Voyeurs??

Significant and practical

We need Michael Maccoby's insights about leaders and our world today to follow or become The Leaders We Need. People don't want to be managed by autocratic father figures, though they will follow and better yet, collaborate with, the right kind of leader. This book is trenchant and practical.

Disclaimer: Michael Maccoby and I have worked together for 35 years. For some this might imply a lack of objectivity. For others, this qualifies a reviewer who knows his subject. You are free to make up your own mind.

Dr. Maccoby's insights are based on over 45 years of research (for example, with Erich Fromm in Mexico), teaching (Harvard, Chicago, Oxford, the Brookings Institution), consulting (IBM, AT&T, World Bank, ABB, etc.), and writing. He facilitated a national health care coalition, and directed a foundation-funded research project on exemplary health care systems. He advises diverse leaders and organizations, being trusted by both corporate and union leaders. He is a fellow of the American Psychological and Anthropological Associations, a psychologist, psychoanalyst, and anthropologist.

The Leaders We Need And What Makes Us Follow provides many examples of leaders and their organizations from this rich body of work. It is his most comprehensive book, giving readers the fruits of his productive lifetime in what might be called a grand integrated theory. His wisdom is useful for those who would lead in any way or at any level of an organization, or for understanding leaders we may choose to follow.

He raises the question why none of the existing authors on leadership give a convincing definition of leadership. Many describe leadership traits, others define their ideal leader. Maccoby's definition of a leader is deceptively simple: a leader is a person others follow.

Since both Hitler and Gandhi were people others followed, Maccoby asks: why and how do people follow a leader? Winston Churchill, a great wartime leader, was rejected by voters both before and after the war. Different contexts require different leaders.

Maccoby understands leaders in their historical context, relationship to followers, and results sought. Personality is also important. The most effective leaders will develop their Personality Intelligence, a combination of conceptual and emotional understanding, head and heart.

At the national level, we need leaders who can respond to a world aflame with fundamentalist ideologies, the global ecological crisis, and an increasing percentage of the world facing inadequate food, water, shelter, health. At the organizational level, we need leaders who can organize and inspire knowledge workers in healthcare organizations, schools, and innovative global companies. Traditional bureaucratic managers who built great corporations and government agencies of the industrial era lack the personality and understanding needed to engage a new social character, raised in dual career families rather than the paternalistic families of the past.

The new interactive social character is composed of free agents motivated by continual learning, teamwork, transparency, participation and above all, meaningful purpose. If led as collaborators they are a source of ideas, energy, and solutions. But they are turned off by rules and carrot and stick-based managers. Maccoby writes that leaders need foresight and systems thinking, and he models it. He describes leaders who are resolving today's challenges: transforming health care; creating schools that educate poor minority students who go on to college; an orphanage run on humanitarian principles where graduates lead the organization in eight countries. Maccoby shows that in the most effective knowledge creating organization, different leadership roles-- strategic, operational, and networking-- work together, and that these roles are best filled by different personality types. In "The President We Need" chapter we gain understanding to help us predict how candidates will act once elected. This book is a significant contribution, useful for would-be leaders and followers.

A study of leadership that puts followers, social change, personality type and public policy in context.

Anthropologist and psychoanalyst Michael Maccoby has been writing about leadership for more than three decades. Here he ventures an argument with an unusual perspective for managerial literature. His fundamental thesis is that changing times demand a leadership model that leaves the industrial, bureaucratic era behind. He explains that new family structures and contemporary ways of working - especially knowledge work - have created a different kind of follower. Maccoby calls these workers "Interactives" and explains their demands in psychological terms. His emphasis on "Personality Intelligence," collaboration and teamwork is not really new, but his explanation of why these factors matter and what impact they have upon public policy is striking. We find his willingness to tackle big leadership challenges - health-care policy, education and even the U.S. presidency - fresh and thought-provoking.

A Contrarian

I have been reading Maccoby's work for years. He is very thoughtful in his approach and willing to call life as he sees it through a trained lense of keen observation. I find the book refreshing because he looks at leadership from a much richer and deeper perspective than most other writers on the subject. For instance, his work on narcissistic leadership challenges many of the cherished notions held by Jim Collins and others. I get tired of those who extol "goodie goodie" leaders as the norm. Maccoby helped me understand the different leadership types who are out there and how I need to think both about those I want to follow and about those I hope will follow yours truly.

If you want a five step approach, then the book is not for you. If you want to be challenged to think and evaluate both yourself and your own organization, then I think you will really enjoy the book.

About the Author
ROY BIANCALANA is an author, speaker and certified relationship coach. For the past 10 years his mission has been supporting single people in the art of attraction, dating and creating conscious relationships. His work centers on The Dating Manifesto, a group of 7 conscious commitments that he has created to guide single people in their efforts to attract lasting love. Roy grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Louisiana State University on a golf scholarship. After graduating in 1983 with a degree in Marketing, he became a professional golfer and competed nationwide for over 20 years, including on the PGA Tour and in 6 major championships. However, while Roy's professional life was successful, his personal life was not. After a divorce and then being dumped by his a fianc�e 6 months before the wedding, he came apart at the seems. Out of desperation he hired a relationship coach to help him understand why his love life was filled with so much drama and pain. That work so transformed his life that he engaged in an intense 2-year coach-training program so that could help others unwind their relationship issues and attract lasting love--as he has. Roy now serves as the relationship expert for Fox 35 TV and News Channel 13 in Orlando, Fl. He has appeared on numerous other shows including, The Daily Buzz, Positive Living Radio Show, Golf Channel and ESPN radio. Uniquely Insighful!

Very insightful book. I have read many "singles" books over the years with similar messages, but this one goes way beyond it. I particularly like the section on male and female dynamics. In the midst of living on your own as a single adult, it is inevitable to have to wear both hats (masculine and feminine side-he covers this in depth). But living in this mode can interfere with generating attraction. This section alone sets this book apart from anything else I have read. Thank you Roy!

Practical Answers To A Previously Mysterious Topic

Attracting Lasting Love is not like other books that attempt to turn you into a girl magnet. The paradigm is flipped. Here, the focus is on the self instead of the external world. What are the shadows within yourself that prevent you from finding love? Why do relationships not work out? Attracting Lasting Love clearly explains the hurdles and provides actionable steps you can take to overcome the hurdles. Roy Biancalana's book stands out in a crowd of wanna-be's. I highly recommend it.

Sure to become a classic!

Roy Biancalana will end up in the same catagory as all the great healers and mentors of personal growth in our time. He has a keen insight into what makes for healthy relationship, and the barriers and boundaries that either keep us from it, or help us to create it. There is no question in my mind that this book can help people find the love they are looking for. He is a master of this subject.
